Each year, the Erwin H. Johnson Memorial Fund, Inc. for Opera gives a dedicated
vocal student our Scholarship to continue their vocal studies that include opera

and classical music. This deserving vocalist is featured in our Celebrate World
Opera Day Concert,  given a Certificate of Award, and has the opportunity
to perform an aria or art song. 

The student's voice teacher or University receives the funds directly.

Requirements:

Student must be 14-22 years of age

Studies must include some operatic/classical vocal music

​

To ensure a fair competition, we consider each applicant's age, vocal ability, and performance (younger singers will not be compared to older, more experienced singers).
Part of our mission is to create an exciting, fond memory for our singers
as they begin their performance journey.
